Oscar Niemeyer 100 Anos 100 Obras 100 Years 100 Works, by Roberto Segre (ed. Ricardo Ohtake; Instituto Tomie Ohtake 2007), is a photo book published on the centennary of Oscar Niemeyer.

[Oscar Niemeyer] introduced an important aspect of modernism by breaking away from the reign of the straight line to provide more mobility for slab floors, walls and apertures, thus interrelating spaces. The curve is also the expression of formal freedom in his architecture and emerges with the greatest exuberance in his best designs. The question of individual creativity, which was mistakenly viewed as a diversion from modernism, industry, and the socializing of the human habitat, in what is increasingly seen as a inapt vision of architecture. However, even today, and particularly in São Paulo, resistance to this trend toward renovation is proffered by those who feel nostalgia for times that have gone forever. Oscar Niemeyer has remained true to many principles of modernism, but from age of 30 to 100 his slogan has been ‘innovation’, and it continues to be so. This book shows only photos of built designs; many of them are well known, but certainly not all. Here for the first time they brought together in a single volume.
