Die Schweiz bauen – Building Switzerland – Construire la Suisse – Costruire la Svizzera (IA Schweizerischer Ingenieur- u. Architektenverein 2011) is a book published in connection with a TV series, “Building Switzerland”, and presents thirteen innovative projects of contemporary Swiss architecture. The book includes a DVD (not tested).

The way we treat one another, and the way we speak, think and act contribute to everything that we call culture: the soul of our society. Every house, every bridge, every village and every town and city – indeed the built environment as a whole – is an element, an expression and a reflection of this soul. It is in these that our past reveals itself; and it is here that our present and future lie. We must therefore show great care and vision when we plan and realise our buildings, when we shape our shared environment. The thirteen short films in the television series “Building Switzerland” show how persistently, creatively and boldly architects, engineers and planners are striving to find new and exemplary solutions.
– Daniel Kündig in Christian Eggenberger, Thomas Müller, and Ivo Vasella (eds.) Die Schweiz bauen – Building Switzerland – Construire la Suisse – Costruire la Svizzera (SIA Schweizerischer Ingenieur- u. Architektenverein, 2011), excerpt of the Foreword
