Alice Biro Architektur 1943–2003 “Toujours en charrette”, by Alice Biro and Pierre Frey (2005), gives a concise introduction to the Swiss architect and influential ally of Alvar Aalto. The book documents Biro’s life and education, her architectural work and academic activities, and her important achievements in humanist modernism and the preservation of modern architecture.
The text is in German; and partly French and English. The illustrations include black-and-white photographs, both of architectural works and from her personal life, and architectural drawings.
Our copy is in very good condition. The pages are clean; no markings. The glueing of the binding is fine. The covers show some small traces of shelf wear and use.
